HELLO and welcome to the web site of the UK North West flower arrangers. On the pages of this Website you will find all manner of items dedicated to the promotion of floral art throughout our own part of UK
The North West Area covers the counties of Cumbria and Lancashire, it incorporates Merseyside, part of Greater Manchester and the Isle of Man.
We are one of twenty one areas, covering the whole of the United Kingdom. We are affiliated to NAFAS, the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies. We are also a Registered Charity (reg. no. 517215) and every year our flower clubs donate to various local, regional and national good causes.
There are 72 flower arranging clubs in the North West Area - there may be one near you. Find the nearest club to you. Or click an area on the map opposite to view a list of the flower clubs in that area. In general, the flower clubs meet once a month and their events include demonstrations of flower arranging, informative lectures, visits to gardens of special interest, flower shows and a lot more besides! In fact, no two clubs are identical.

Interested? If you are interested in learning more about flowers, foliage and plants go to the relevant flower club pages because there just isn't enough space here to show everything.
The Area regularly hosts workshops, where members enjoy practical, fun hands-on days, presented by experts. The subjects covered are wide ranging, from crafts to Christmas themes, from current up-to-date trends to back-to-basics.
Area organises special events, indeed in
2005 we celebrated our Sapphire Anniversary.
Individual Membership is offered by Area to those who, for one reason or another, cannot commit to membership of a flower club. Once you become a member of the North West Area (either through a flower club or as an individual member) you will discover that Area is like a tree with many branches and that there are so many available options.
We have a Teachers' Association, which offers the more in-depth teaching demonstrations, where you can subscribe to Insight, the national in-house teaching magazine.
There is the Area Golfing Society, which meets at various golf clubs in the north west and holds its own competitions.
The Area Fellowship enjoys spring and autumn luncheon get-togethers with like- minded people.

NurturingWe are happy in the North West to nurture the budding floral artists of the future. We are proud to have formed the first junior flower club in the UK and Area now has 5 junior flower clubs.
DevelopmentMembers of our flower clubs and individual members can develop their skills as far as they wish. The Area hosts training days for aspiring floral demonstrators, judges and speakers, with successful candidates often going on to take a national qualification.
For members with photographic skills and a keen eye for that winning shot, there are opportunities in the Photography Competition, judged and displayed at our Area Annual General Meeting.
The Area is very progressive. We have more nationally qualified demonstrators than any area and our members often take high awards at national flower arranging competitions - so you can see, you will be in good hands!
Somebody once coined the phrase FUN, FRIENDSHIP AND FLOWERS. This is still applicable today. With flowers we all have lots of fun and make many new friends. Don't miss all the information contained within the web site, explore all the pages and maybe soon you will join us.
