Blackpool Flower Club

About us:

Blackpool Flower Club meets at Staining Village Hall, Chain Lane, Staining, nr Blackpool, on the last Wednesday of each month, beginning at 7.30 p.m.  The hall is in a very convenient location just outside the village and has plenty of parking, a lovely stage with excellent lighting showing the demonstrator’s effort to maximum effect and good acoustics.

Most meeting we have a NAFAS demonstrator followed by refreshments and then all the arrangements are raffled.  As well as these meetings we have practice and competition nights (including a photographic competition) and also arrange visits to gardens and flower festivals.  The yearly subscription is £27.00, payable in September/October

2010 will be another busy year for the club with visits planned to Members Day at Southport in May, Harrogate National Show in July and then Flora Pedamania at St Georges Hall, Liverpool in September

Some of our member created a wonderful display at the Lytham Hall Flower Festival last December and it was a fantastic event with over 3,000 visitors and greatly admired by them all.  There was some breathtaking designs and the inspiration of the designers left one in awe.

We have a membership of 75 and are working hard to increase this during the next couple of years, to keep the club as thriving as it is at the moment.  All new members would be made very welcome and to come for a visit would cost just £4.00

Come to see us and be assured of a very warm welcome.
