Burnley Flower Club
About us:
Burnley Flower Club was formed in 1958 so in September 2008 we had our Golden Anniversary. We held a lovely dinner at Burnley Masonic Hall and one of our Founder members was able to attend.
We hold our meetings on the first Monday of each month at 7.30 at Central Methodist Church which is conveniently situated in the town centre. Our members enjoy the demonstrators who give us so much pleasure and information as we watch them creating their designs.
We are a friendly club having a variety of activities and outings throughout the year and welcome new members and visitors. We have an exciting and varied programme planned for 2010.
We had a wonderful trip for our summer outing. We went to Auriol House to visit the garden created by Hazel and Rowland Lansdell listed in the NGS leaflet it is well worth a visit and was not far for us to travel.
Hazel, Rowland and Susan their daughter served us with a lovely supper, it was mid-summer evening, beautiful weather and a truly memorable event.
