Dalton in Furness Flower Club
About us:
Dalton in Furness 'The Ancient Capital of Furness' is a small mainly residential town and is situated midway between Barrow and Ulverston. Local tourist attractions are The South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Furness Abbey, and Dalton Castle. The Parish Church of St. Mary hosts an annual Christmas Tree Festival with over 50 decorated trees exhibited by local groups and charities. This years theme is 'Song Titles' and our chosen title is 'The Twist'. This festival attracts a lot of visitors to the town and Dalton is now known as the 'Christmas Capital of Furness'
Our club is small and friendly and members, guests and visitors are made very welcome. We have 10 demonstrations a year, an annual dinner and an occasional outing to visit a garden, demonstration, or anything of interest for our members.
We are constantly looking to increase our membership and invite anyone with a love of flowers to come and join us. We meet on the third Thursday of the month at 7.30 p.m. in the Methodist Church in Wellington Street.
