Grassendale Flower Arrangement Society

About us:

GRASSENDALE FLOWER ARRANGEMENT SOCIETY, LIVERPOOL

Grassendale Flower Arrangement Society was founded thirty nine years ago in Liverpool, and it has remained an active club ever since.

It has a membership of about 100, who meet every month the year, except for January. Besides our monthly meetings, we hold occasional workshops, and have coach visits to various places of interest.

Over the past years we have held fund raising events, giving substantial cheques to several different charities. Recently members were invited to "Come to the Matinee" when we had a demonstration by Committee Members, followed by afternoon tea. This very successful event raised funds for the club.

Our meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month, when the doors open at 7.30pm and the demonstration starts at 8.00pm, in Dovedale Baptist Church Hall, Olivedale Road, Liverpool, L18 1DW.

Usually in the quiet month of August, we hold a non flower arranging evening, and invite a speaker to talk to us – we have covered a wide range of topics from bird watching to embroidery.

For each alternate December meeting, the Committee organise a party and quiz evening which is much enjoyed. Occasionally, the Committee provide an “in house” Christmas production, which is always appreciated by the members.

There is always room for new members, so do come and join us – you will find a warm welcome awaiting you. A charge of £4.00 is made for visitors.
