About us:

We are a relatively new club being founded in 1999 and are delighted to announce that we have approximately 80 members and hope that this healthy number continues for many years to come. We are a friendly group and are always happy to welcome new faces.

We meet every fourth Monday of the month (except for August and December) 7.30 p.m. at St. George's Social Centre, Station Road, Maghull L31

Our annual membership is £21.00 and the charge for visitors is £3.00

Included within our programme of demonstrators we have visits to gardens and flower shows along with an occasional workshop. All these occasions are well attended but we would welcome any newcomers who may be interested to join us. It is certainly not necessary to be a flower arranger to become a member but the opportunity to learn is here. Prior to Christmas we held a workshop presented by Don Billington who needs no introduction in this area as he is well known for his "entertaining banter" as well as his excellent flower arranging skills. All who attended proudly came away with beautiful Christmas door wreaths and table arrangements.

A beautiful sunny day last May, a visit to Kevin Gunnall's garden (a National Demonstrator) in Shropshire was well enjoyed by ourselves along with a few friends from Rainford Flower Club. A few ideas were picked up for re-arranging our own gardens! To complete the day a couple of hours were spent at Grosvenor Garden Centre near Chester. Our coach returned laden with plants and many tired but happy trippers.

Early in May this year we hall be taking part in a Flower Festival being held at Emmanuel Church, Ormskirk.

Our new programme for 2009/2010 promises to be equally as good as our previous year with many of our favourite demonstrators returning. Nikki Ledsom starts our year in May demonstrating with the appropriate title of "Lets Celebrate" as it will be our 10th Anniversary this year. We shall be celebrating this occasion in June with an evening meal at Ladygreen Nurseries, Ince Blundell.
