About us:

Our Club was founded in 1999 and we are pleased to announce that we contnue to have approximately eighty members. We are a friendly club and are always happy to welcome new faces as visitors who, potentially, may become new members. We will actually be having an evening in September when members can bring a friend for free.

We meet every fourth Monday of the month (except August and December) 7,30 p.m. at St. George's Social Club, Station Road, Maghull where there is ample parking. Our annual subscription is £25.00 and the charge for visitors is £4.00. Our refreshments are free!

Our programme for the coming year (May 2011 to April 2012) provides an excellent variety of demonstrators and speaker. Although not listed, there will be series of workshops and flower arranging classes, dates and venues yet to be arranged.

We are currently organising a trip to "Magical Fairy Tales" to be held at Hoghton Tower, near Preston on Saturday 1st October. This is in celebration of fifty years of the North West Area of NAFAS. This event will prove to be of interest to all ages. Our Club will be staging a display entitles "The Enchanted Forest" led by Don Billington.

Last year our Club staged an excellent display "The Sound of Music" at the "Florapedamania" Festival which was held in St. George's Hall, Liverpool. This was a magnificent event, enjoyed by all who visited. Also last year many club members attended the Southport Theatre "For One Night Only" which was a brilliant presentation by an "all male cast". They were all National/Area Demonstrators who provided an extremely humourous and at times poignant display raising funds for Prostate Cancer. On sale that evening were calendars in the style of "The Calendar Girls" for which the same demonstrators had posed! A totally successful evening culminating in the provision of several thousand pounds towards the Charity.
