Millom & District Flower Club
About us:
Millom is a small town in South Cumbria, nestling beneath Black Combe with the stunning Lakeland Fells as a backdrop, idyllically situated on the beautiful Duddon Estuary.
With a membership of 100 and with younger members joining, we have come a long way from when the club was struggling to survive and members had to demonstrate to save funds. We are now able to attract well known National Demonstrators to our small venue hall. Our members monthly competition is going from strength to strength attracting a dozen or so entries.
In November 2008 we celebrated our 40th birthday. As well as monthly demonstrations coaches take members to visit gardens and flower shows. We have a couple of members who enter local competitions, and others who get involved with flower festivals, so overall a busy club, but never too busy to welcome visitors to our area.
Check the programme to enjoy an evening with a a finish of beverages and home made cake, not to be missed!
