North Fylde Flower Club
About us:
North Fylde is a small Flower Club situated in the picturesque village of St Michael's on Wyre near Garstag on the banks of the Rive Wyre in Lancashire.
We have a large catchment area extending to Blackpool, Lancaster and Preston . The Club was started in 1985 and we are planning several events for our ''Silver Anniversary'' in 2010 We meet in the local Village Hall, where is a large free car park, on the last Thursday of each month at 7.30p.m. except for June, August and December.
Our annual subscription is £23.00 for members and guests are welcome at £4.00 which includes tea and biscuits. We manage to keep the cost so low by having two fund-raising events each year, such as a Hot Pot Suppers, Coffee mornings and plant stalls.
In June we have a coach trip to places of interest to flower arrangers, we also do our bit for charity, every year on the first Monday afternoon in December we have our Christmas tea with all food home-made by our Committee and we donate all the proceeds of our raffle to local charities - The Hospice, NW Air Ambulance etc.
We try to have two National demonstrators each year and in the other months encourage Area demonstrators who have recently passed their test.
