Penrith & District Flower Club
About us:
We hold our meetings in the Evergreen Hall Penrith every 3rd Wednesday in the month. The club was formed in September 1966 and we have approximately 100 members. We try to have a varied programme through the year with visiting demonstrators from the NW Area whose arrangements are raffled at the end of the evening.
The club has Sales, Publications, and Plant stalls to help with club funding. We welcome all visitors and new members. We hold a 'Members Night' with competitions, this being a fund raising event, and every two years we have an Open Night with a National Demonstrator. Every other year we hold a major fund raising event with donations to local charities. In 2003 we raised a total of £5,000. after a weekend flower festival held in Penrith Town Hall. We try to enter competitions at shows in the area.
Visitors £4.00 (accompanied by a member no more than 3 times a year).
Membership currently £21.00 per year due annually on 1 October.
