Scaleby & District Flower Club
About us:
Welcome to Scaleby & District Flower Club website pages. The club meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 7.30 p.m. in Scaleby Village Hall. At our monthly meetings we have a NAFAS demonstrator who does six or more arrangements, which are raffled at the end of the evening. Tea/coffee and biscuits are then served and members enjoy a chat amongst themselves.
As well as monthly meetings in the hall, this year we are having a day trip in May and an evening outing in November. We visit shows, gardens and flower festivals. The club takes part in flower festivals and has exhibited at Chelsea in 1996, winning a silver gilt award for Misty Morn.
Annually we have a fund raising event with all proceeds going to our nominated charity. Our regular host is our Club President John Dalton's garden at Sand House, Scaleby. The theme various each year from a strawberry fair, cheese and wine, garden trail or cream teas, etc.
The club has raised approximately £12,000. for various charities over the years.
If you would like to join us, membership is £20 per year, or visitors can come for £3. per visit.
All new members and visitors are welcome.
