SALFORD FLORAL ART SOCIETY was formed in October 1975, we were, at the time, privileged to have the Mayor of Salford as our first President, and our first Chairwoman was Jennifer Hardman, a NAFAS teacher and National Demonstrator.
We are proud to be noted for our warm and friendly welcome to everyone. We are always open to new members and visitors. In our Club we share a love of the beauty of flowers and plants and look forward to sharing our knowledge with like minded people.
The Club has gained a good reputation locally and in our surrounding District. We are privileged to have been, and continue to be, invited to stage at Flower Festivals. We have Members of all abilities many of whom enjoy using their talents on those occasions.
We have regular monthly meetings on the last Friday where we enjoy watching the talents of various NAFAS demonstrators; have a chance to meet friends for a chat whilst having tea/coffee break and, if lucky then to take home one of the floral displays, which are raffled at the end of the evening. The meeting is held at The Methodist Church Hall, King Street, Irlam o'th Height, Salford and the doors open at 7p.m. and demonstration begin at 7.30p.m.
In August our event is held in an afternoon in the garden when weather permits in the shape of summer tea party.
Membership is paid annually in October and is £34.00 Visitors £5.00
